The Ultimate Mosaic Lagoon Lodge Wedding in Stanford, South Africa

Residing in the Netherlands, getting married at Mosaic Lagoon Lodge & Spa was a dream come true for Sharon & Piero, for various reasons. The venue offers a variety of accommodation options, event venues and spa services, all against a background of the beautiful Hermanus lagoon and mountain range. Being located within driving distance from the city of Cape Town and its International Airport (approximately 2 hours), it is easy to get there for both SA residents and international guests . Another great advantage of the proximity to Cape Town is the variety of vendors you can choose from. A florists I can highly recommend is Anna Botany from the Paarl area. In terms of food and drinks, the catering service of Mosaic Lagoon Lodge is incredible. From royal burgers for the welcoming diner, to excellent food full of South African character for the wedding diner. Sharon’s hair was done by the kind and gifted Christelle Lourens. The cake was done by Mon Ami Cakes, and finger licking good! Some of the guests stayed in the Spookhuis cottages on site, and the other guests in the luxury suites of the Mosaic Lagoon Lodge. The wedding ceremony took place on the edge of the Hermanus Lagoon. Canapés and cocktails were served on the lawn with sunlit mountain range as the perfect backdrop. Typical South African dishes were served under the milkwood trees in front of the Spookhuis main house. The wedding day came to an end around the bonfire under a clear and starry night sky. After the festive weekend, some guests combined the wedding in Stanford with a road trip along the famous Garden Route, a scenic route along the South Coast of South Africa.

Enjoy this wonderful wedding, all neatly planned by Fundisa Weddings. Assisted by brother Thomas. From Stanford, with love.

Martijn and his brother captured our wedding weekend in South Africa; so different from the 'normal' posed wedding photos. His work is very detailed and shows a lot of emotion and color. It seems as if his photos could transport you back into the very moment they were taken. He spotted every moment, every spot with nice light and took us along to capture it. We didn't have to think about anything. Before the wedding we talked a lot about moments that were important to us, but we are surprised by so much more! All the guests are captured so typically in their own ways and characters. It's all stunning and we are beyond grateful that these memories stay with us forever. Besides that, it was also very nice to have Martijn around, not only as a photographer, but also as a person! Thank you!
