It has been almost a year since my last blog post, so it’s about time to post something new again. Here’s some photos of that time when Moo and I went to the beach and found it completely empty.Read More
What a special day today, truly a day to feel ever so grateful. Today Rangefinder Magazine presented the list of 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography 2017!
It makes me feel humble to be listed among such incredibly talented people, but proud at the same time. Photography is a very large part of my life, my being, and receiving a reward like this means a lot to me.
The Rangefinder Magazine is one of the leading Magazines online and on print when it comes to contemporary photography, offering the latest professional wedding & portrait photography news, tips, techniques, interviews, photo contests and equipment reviews. The Rangefinder 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography list includes 30 photographers worldwide that they think are worth having a look at it. I don't like to be in the spotlight too much, but it's such a great honor for me that I had to write a little something about it on here.
I want to thank everyone who has allowed and encouraged me to grow my photography over the years. Above all, I am thankful to be part of so many amazing wedding days, and for being trusted by so many people.
There will be a small Instagram take-over soon, so make sure you find me on there
To photograph an elopement was one of my dreams since I started wedding photography. The very idea of an elopement is to get away from everything and get married with the love of your life without distractions of any kind. Aidee and Scott are from Chicago and planned to visit Europe for a couple weeks this summer. One of the countries they wanted to visit was Scotland, in particular the Highlands and all the beautiful castles. Aidee had never been overseas before, making this trip very special for the two of them. For this special event, Aidee made both of their outfits herself, including all the little details. They decided to tie the knot at Eilean Donan Castle and celebrate their love surrounded by beautiful hills and lakes, making the experience a true fairy tale.
I love to get to know the people I photograph and therefore I spent quite some time with Aidee and Scott. It is such a lovely feeling when you feel trusted and connected, and I think this is the reason I want to share these photos with you. I am very thankful to have gotten the opportunity to be part of this. Also, I signed their marriage agreement and will be forever one of their official witnesses, which means a lot to me. I hope you can feel the love in the pictures below, and I hope you will find someone that looks at you like Scott looks at Aidee, and like Aidee looks at Scott.
Last weekend I shot the wedding of Dimitri and Elena at the beautiful island of Mallorca. It was glorious, wonderful. Heartfelt and genuine. Here's one of my favortes!
I want to use this space on my website to just post anything that I feel like sharing, my own work, things that inspire me, thoughts, and so on. I would love for you to leave your thoughts as well. This is a shot from Nepal, a country that changed my perspective on life. I would highly recommend you to go there and experience it yourself.
